Implanted Souls

A child asks, “If Mother were not my mother, who would I be?”

Are our souls implanted in the physical body that is the union of our parents? Could we, meaning our soul, have been born of different parents? We gotta be more than atoms and molecules, DNA. The Bible says God knows us before we are born. Perhaps even before we are conceived?

I think of our bodies as temporary houses wherein our soul dwells and is given a chance to express itself. So Ira could have been born to someone else, and would have had a different body.

I wonder if God has not implanted souls of every sort in every sort of body and circumstance and age so that He may be honored in all ways under all conditions when every knee bows?

This comes close to, but not at reincarnation.
