“Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifties in a cave and fed them with bread and water.” 1 Kings 18:4
I asked Google to show me caves near Jezreel City, and it led me to Anat Harrel’s post about Tsipori. So I asked,
“I had so much fun reading a few of your blog posts just now. Please add me to your emailing list.
“Would you please suggest caves in the Jezreel Valley which are closer to Jezreel City? Close enough to make it practical for Obadiah to be sending food to prophets he hid there? (1 Kings 18:3-4) Preferably caves not close to each other, to make them more difficult for Queen Jezebel’s agents to discover.”
The next day Anat sent me links to caves which Obadiah could have used.
- Misliya Cave – 5 hour walk west of Fort Jezreel at Meggido.
- Qafzeh Cave – 5 hour walk north of Fort Jezreel near Nazareth.
